Design and program autonomous bots, then decide which unit to deploy and when, all that while an AI learns your moves, to act as your agent in asynchronous PvP! (the"Echoes"). Each arena comes with condition modifiers that will push you to use different strategies and unit sets.
The game is perfect for quick gaming sessions, since matches are fast-paced (timer 5 minutes simulation time) and with asynchronous PvP you will never have to wait for an opponent. By the way, for anyone looking to skip the campaign and jump right into PvP, it is possible: "Freeplay" inside campaign is PvP, just without ranking information, and does not need unlocking.
..And the depth: While unit design is reminiscent of Warzone 2100, the programming reminds more of Gladiabots, but in a more accessible fashion. After trying out combinations of weapons, utilities, bodies (5 levels from light hover to heavy tank) and sizes (another 5 levels from swarm to titan), remove the easy mode and dive into bot programming to refine behaviour as you wish: control specific hot spots and deny resources? regroup for a big push? Glide around for surprise attacks?
...and the soundtrack.
So, come and train your echoes.. (I was beta tester and have been playing for free until game release)
I see you are the creator of Gladiabots. I SO want to buy Gladiabots and likely this game as an APK on Itch. Gladiabots is unfortunately only on GooglePlay which i avoid like the plague. Any chance both games will be put on Itch as Android/APK?
I assume Warzone is one of your main references for your game, otherwise I would suggest playing up to bottom and upside down to know exactly what to improve upon it and make your game different enough. But the main problem of Warzone in my opinion is the path finding where your own units doesn't consider the path of each other and end up colliding constantly. 50% of units lost are because of that.
I don't know why but the reply box in itch have the line breaks completely broken xD
Couple of things: 1. "Demo is now live" - no it's not. No option to pick it up here. 2. Please *DON'T* make the game Steam exclusive. You've done that before and it's unfortunate. I have good reasons to avoid anything that's locked behind Steam, and there are others who avoid it where possible for less extreme reasons than mine.

Good review! Sounds like my impressions of the game too. Still hoping for confirmation that the full game won't end up being Steam exclusive, though.
Wishlisted. Hopefully will quench Warzone 2100 nostalgia.
Wow, waiting for it to release on steam in 2025, this is pure fire!

Unlikely I'm afraid.
No option to select an install
What do you mean? You just need to unzip the file and launch the exe file.
I use the itch.io app, and it wasn't giving me any options for which "version" to install. Today, it shows 0.81, so I guess it fixed itself.
Oh OK. Weird. Glad it's fixed now :)
Oh, wow, It reminds me a lot of Warzone 2100.
In a good way hopefully.

It's actually not a ref at all but a few players mentioned it ^^'
Not sure why though, I tested it and it played more like a classic RTS. Maybe I missed something?
It was really both the unit design and the behavior-modifiers

Sorry, I misconfigured the downloadable files, it should work now.
